The Dhananjay Mahadik Yuvashakti Mahil Aaghadi(ladies wing) works towards Women Empowerment. Today women of the house need to be self sufficient & self reliant. This would not only benefit them individually but will bring happiness and prosperity to the entire family as well. Through Self help groups of Yuvashakti, we have been able to empower over 48,000 women, with self sufficiency & self reliability by providing them with education, technical knowledge & know how to run their own enterprises & home based business.

Dhanajay Mahadik Yuvashakti Mahil Aaghadi carries out various Activities round the year which help and assist women all over the district :

• Kalee Umaltana - Blooming Buds !
  Yuvashakti Mahila Aaghadi has undertaken an unique & special program named KALEE UMALTANA i.e. Blooming Buds for the girls ranging from 13-16 years age group. For this age group a special single day workshop is being conducted in various schools, throughout the district covering rural areas also.
  In June 2009 the first workshop was organised & since then it is gaining tremdous response from schools as well as from teachers & parents personally. Till date more than 1500 girls from various schools have benefited from this program.
  Adolescence comes as a challenge for everyone, specially for girls in our society. At this stage they go through major Physical & Mental changes, and many times they easily get attracted towards things which may prove as a cruical 'block' in their lives; so at this phase they need proper guidance and counselling for mental, educational & overall development, as well as for building their confidence.
  To transform these blooming buds into empowered able women, Mahila Aaghadi is conducting such workshops with the help of experts & distinguished doctors, where girls can get this basic scientific knowledge as well as they can discuss freely on this open forum.(see pictures)  

• Conducting Professional Advisory Camps

• Consumer Products Exhibitions
  To provide opportunity for small scale products manufactured by Self-help groups, promote them and help them sell the products.

• Free Professional Training Camps
  These camps are designed to provide Women with first hand knowledge of various professions. Women can start there own small time work after attending these camps. Dhananjay Mahadik Yuva Shakti Mahila Aaghadi has conducted such camps at various villages in Kolhapur District. Some of the places where women are benefitted from these camps include Sadar Bazaar, Deokar Panand, Jadhavwadi, Rajarampuri, Shahupuri, Tarabai Park, Shivaji Park, Pratibhanagar, Daulatnagar, Shastrinagar, Shahunagar, Ambai, Kadamwadi, Timber Market, Shaniwar Peth, Sandhya Math, Shukruwar Peth, Nagala Park, Ghotwade, Gharpan, Chikhali, Bazar Bhogaon,  Kale,  Kasba Bavada, Uchgaon, Sarvade, Phulewade etc.( See Pictures)

• Senior Citizen Medical Check-up Camps
  Number of camps have been conducted in various areas for Free Medical Check-up of Senior Citizens. Along with the check-up, guidance for healthy life is also provided. Dhanajay Mahadik Yuvashakti Ladies Wing also distributes free medicines to the people who are not in position to bear their medical expenses.
