YUVASHAKTI MAHILA AAGHADI: ACTIVITIES
- Ladies Health Check-up Camps Health is the primary issue faced by women especially in the Rural Areas. Mahila Aaghadi of Dhananjay Mahadik Yuvashakti conducts Health Check-up camps at various places to ensure the good physical health of Women of the district. Further various camps for people from deprived class of society are also organised. Free Medicines & Special medical assistance like operations etc. are also provided. The organisation also aims to provide medical and clinical aid to the economically backward and underprivileged people for example Pooja Laxman Kopardekar, age 14 yrs, from Deokar Panand, Kolhapur studing at Tapovan Vidhyalaya is suffering from diabetes. Mahila Aaghadi has undertaken the responsibility to provide for her daily medicines and her required supplies. Yuvashakti Mahila Aaghadi has shown empathy by organising free medical check-up camps and other medicals aid where ever & whenever neccessary especially for illiterate and economically lower class people including small venders, house-maids, paperwalas etc.
- Bhima Festival
Mahila Aaghadi also takes active participation in this event by conducting various activities under Bhima Festival. The prime of these activities include Rangoli Competition, Flower Decoration Competition, Cooking Skills Competition etc. Women from all over the districts pariticipate in these events and enhance the magnificance of the event. - Camps for Dental Care & Dentures
This is a unique activity of Yuvashakti where in almost 50 people were provided with free Dentures. Also various camps for dental check-up are also conducted essp. for children. - Blood Donation Camp
Yuvashakti Mahila Aaghadi had organised Blood Donation Camp. The pecularity of this event is it was kind of its own as only ladies donated blood in this camp. This exclusive event was conducted with the help of number of ladies organization of kolhapur & blood banks and it was great success.More than 250 women donated blood in this camp. With this event Mahila Aaghadi created awareness about Anaemia which is most common in women and also provided calcium & iron tables for one month to those diagnosed anaemic.
